Data Center Migrations

Sometimes, you need to move. We are a way better option than you've seen before

When expanding or consolidating, Instant Data Centers can assist clients developing plans for migration while meeting the most stringent uptime requirement and timelines. Our unique micro-modular data centers (MMDC) allow speed and options never thought possible in data center migration.

According to Gartner, a data center research giant, the average data center is already outdated. An organization may be considering an upgrade for increased energy efficiency, better utilization of IT infrastructure, meeting the increased demand of business growth, or reducing costs by consolidating data centers.

MMDC Forklift Physical Move: Systems are shut down, transported in MMDC units to the new location, and restarted in a matter of hours.

  • Ideal for when data center is required to close and open quickly
  • Applications can be offline for a short time
  • Set up and breakdown time are important

Swing Migration MMDC based or traditional data center systems set up in a new location; applications are migrated from old systems to new systems. Systems are repurposed or remarketed.

  • Ideal when lease expiration enables vendor equipment to be swapped out
  • Application is low available and downtime is an option
  • Refresh budget is limited

Bridge Migration: Temporary systems in leased MMDC units are set up and applications are migrated from old systems to temporary systems. Old systems are sent to new location, and applications are migrated back to the old system at the new site.

  • Ideal when applications require 24x7 uptime
  • Current maintenance is tied to specific serialized systems
  • Refresh budget is limited
